A Friendship Poem

"FRIENDSHIPS"

Roses are red

Violets are blue

But who are you

Only a few knew

We outgrew and changed

I bent backwards for you and you couldn't do the same

You apologized but you still blamed

Things went south and into flames

All the what ifs and games

Ended without a word in mouth

We screamed and shout

It was loud and clear

Now dear

Just because I say these things don't mean I shed a tear

A tear is not here nor fear

I stand here at the pier

With words that were clear

I missed you 

But did you miss the missed?

Past tense let me assist you

You might think I'm in the past but don't get it twisted

I'm here an you're there

And I know that at the end of the day

I'm here to stay, so let me just say

We may not talk but since the depart

I hold the memories close to my heart 

But its time for a new start...
