All Time Favorite | Songs

We all have those songs that you either know by heart or sing on the top of your lungs! Well, I have my TOP 15 and the bottom I have my "Honorable Mentions" that didn't make it on the top 15, but are also my favorite. YES, I do know all the lyrics and Yes I do recommend them. *all ABC order...

1. Beautiful - Snoop Dogg

Released: 2003

How it starts: "Beauuuuutifuuuul, I just want you to know you're my favorite girl."

Why fav?: It's catchy and its about woman being beautiful.

2. Compton's N The House - NWA

Released: 1988

How it starts: "Hey yo Yella Boy, Kick me that funk ass beat"

Why fav?: It was one of the few rap songs I knew when I was in Elementary or even before. Also, if you don't like cuss word after cuss this song ain't for you.

3. Deja Vu - Twenty88

Released: 2016

How it starts: "Remember all the nights we used to fall through"

Why fav?: It reminds me of Summer 2016, that's all. & also, Big  Sean & Jhene Aiko collaborations are the best.

4. Drop It Like It's Hot - Snoop Dogg

Released: 2004

How it starts: "when the pimp's in the crib, ma."

Why fav?: FIRST EVER song my dad let me listen too AND its catchy af.

5. Fade - Kanye West

Released: 2016

How it starts: "Your love is fade"

Why fav?: It reminds me of past friendships. Plus it beat is laid back.

6. I Know - Big Sean

Released: 2015

How it starts: "I know you've been goin' through some things, uh huh."

Why fav?: I first heard this song live and I was in love with it.

7. I Need A Girl pt. 2 - P.Diddy

Released: 2003

How it starts: "Yeah, this that bounce right here."

Why fav?: I like the message, although its more for men.

8. It Wasn't Me - Shaggy

Released: 2000

How it starts: "Honey came in and she caught me red-handed."

Why fav?: It's catchy and its a classic.

9. Let Me Love You -Mario

Released: 2004

How it starts: "Baby you should let me love you, let me love you."

Why fav?: I mean the title of the song is pretty self explanatory.

10. Love Like This - Faith Evans

Released: 2003

How it starts: "I never knew there was a love like this before."

Why fav?: I first heard this song in the movie,  "Save The Last Dance" (watch it on Netflix & also fav. movie).  I looked for it like crazy until this one night I dedicated my time to find it and I did. This song makes me wanna dance even if I'm driving.

  
11. Posse On Broadway - Sir Mix-A-Lot

Released: 1988

How it starts: "My Posse's on Broadway"

Why fav?: Just like "Compton's N The House, it was one of the first few songs I knew and could rap/sing along.  

12. Pullin' Me Back - Chingy

Released: 2006

How it starts: "Every time I try to leave"

Why fav?: Its my favorite because its pretty much my life. I always try to leave and something is always pulling me back. (life in general)

 13. Say My Name - Destiny's Child

Released: 1999

How it starts: "Say my name, say my name "

Why fav?: I was in love with Destiny's Child! They were my first CD ever owned. I love the entire album by "Say My Name" is a classic.

14.  Studio - ScHoolboy Q

Released: 2013

How it starts: "I'm just sitting in the studio just trying to get to you baby"

Why fav?: It reminds me of Summer 2014, that's all.

15. Work Out - J. Cole

Released: 2011

How it starts: "I wanna see you work out for me, work out for me"

Why fav?: It was J.cole's first album (he has 3 and I own all of them & he's the only artist I own of their albums). Its reminds me of past friendships, that's all.
